7pm | St Hypolit provostship, Znojmo - Hradiště | Wine maker: Waldberg Vrbovec, Víno Vaněk, Vinice Hnanice || Pavel Šporcl, the patron of the festival, will open the programme with a tailored repertoire inspired by the fall of the Iron Curtain and national pride. The world known violinist will be accompanied by Prague Philharmoni conducted by Derek Gleeson.

Festakt - thirty years from the fall of the iron curtain

7:30pm | Althof - Stadtsaal, Retz (A) || Concert by a festival partner Retz - musical and literary. Authors Radka Denemark, Reinhard Jirgl and Pavel Kohout will be debating affairs connected to the fall of the Iron Curtain. As a connection between the two neighbouring lands some chamber works by Antonín Dvořák, Franz Schubert, Erwin Schulhoff and Gustava Mahler will be played.

Dulcimer, Wine, the Ride of the Kings

7pm | Louka Monastery courtyard, Znojmo | Wine maker: Znovín Znojmo ||  A humorous show by Čardáš, a dulcimer band from Bojkovice with their principal Petra Jakšíková. This year, the show will also include a stage performance of the famous ride of the kings in Vlčnov by a folklore group Vlčnovjan. This traditional annual event is listed at UNESCO intangible cultural heritage. The event boats with a directed wine degustation and followed by an informal afterparty with dulcimer band of Antonin Stehlík.
