A multi-generational chamber opera is realized by a team of students from the Faculty of Music at JAMU in Brno.
The submarine Nautilus is preparing for a new research mission in San Francisco harbor. An object of unknown origin has been spotted in the depths of the Pacific Ocean, and Nemo intends to investigate it. The check-list shows that Nautilus is fine. The crew is boarded, except for Salma, the swimming teacher… Finally Salma arrives, not only late, but she is still leading her pet, the octopus Mantík, on a leash. Thus begins the story, which is loosely inspired by J. Verne’s novel 20,000 Miles Under the Sea. Go under the sea with us!
