CANDLELIGHT CONCERT I: Duo Absoluto
Martin Kot (22) and Viktor Stocker (15) are often referred to as the most gifted accordionists of the young generation, and they arouse enthusiasm on Czech and foreign stages. They have demonstrated their skills at a number of international competitions and concerts at renowned festivals, including ours. They have been performing together as Duo Absoluto since 2019.
Event description
Since 2019, Viktor Stocker has been working with accordionist Martin Kot in the group Duo Absoluto. They perform with a varied, audience-attractive program ranging from baroque music to Argentine tango to contemporary Czech and international works, and they also accompany the concerts themselves with spoken word.
Their music was performed, among others, at the festivals Aloise Motýl’s Prelude, Tribute to Rudolf Firkušný in Napajedlí, Monastery Music Festival, Dvořák Festival, Jaro Josef Suk, the Music Marathon in Brno and the International Film Festival in Zlín. They also regularly appear as guests at Jaroslav Svěcené’s concerts and have performed in the Senate of the Czech Parliament.
